How Avion Towing collects, uses and protects your personal information. Last updated November 2, 2026.
Who we are
Avion Towing (“Avion Towing”, “we”, “us”) is a towing and roadside assistance business serving the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you call us, use this website or use our services.
We are responsible for the personal information under our control and follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We only collect what we need to provide towing and roadside services:
Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
Service details: your pickup location, destination, vehicle make, model, colour, licence plate and condition, and any notes you give us about the job.
Billing details: the information needed to invoice you or take payment.
Messages: what you send us through the contact form, by text or by email.
Website data: basic, aggregated information about how this site is used (see “Cookies and website analytics” below).
How we use it
To dispatch a truck, find you and your vehicle, and deliver it where you asked.
To contact you about your tow, including arrival updates.
To invoice you, process payment and keep business records.
To handle insurance claims, damage reports or questions about a job.
To improve our website and services.
We won’t use your information for any other purpose without asking you first, unless the law allows or requires it.
Your consent
When you call us, send the contact form or book a tow, you consent to us collecting and using your information for the purposes in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, unless that would stop us meeting a legal or contractual obligation. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to provide the service.
When we share it
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when it’s needed to do the job or when the law requires it, for example with:
The repair shop, dealership, storage yard or other destination you choose.
Your insurer, ICBC or a roadside assistance plan, when you ask us to or when the tow is part of a claim.
Police, emergency services or government agencies, when we are required or authorized by law.
Service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host and our phone, email and payment providers. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax and insurance requirements. When we no longer need it, we securely delete or destroy it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Only people who need your information to do their work can see it.
Cookies and website analytics
This website uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage:
Necessary: needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice.
Analytics: only if you allow them, aggregated statistics about which pages are visited, provided through our website platform, Framer.
We don’t use advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Seeing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used or shared, and ask us to correct it if it’s wrong. We’ll respond within 30 days, as PIPA requires.
